Rest and relaxation

At Independence for me we have always realised the importance of relaxation and stress relief; but this was highlighted during and after the covid pandemic.

Every Friday afternoon we ensure that we have different opportunities for relaxation:

Michelle has recently qualified as a mindfulness instructor and leads meditation sessions; Mandy runs soundbath emersion therapy sessions while other members of the team offer Reading and relaxation opportunities.

Tai Chi & Yoga

During the week we have Tai Chi classes to help focus the mind and body and during the holidays we have yoga sessions too.

In Conclusion

We recognise that relaxation can take many forms, and incorporate art, dance, gardening and holistic therapies into our weekly activities.
